Background

INNOVINT is an EU-funded Partnership that seeks to provide assistance to innovative entrepreneurs, with start up or early-stage companies. The project’s aim is to help these companies to internationalise their activities and processes.

The project consists of 10 partner organisations from seven EU member states including France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Poland and Spain.
Challenge

The INNOVINT partner organisations needed a website that would let them:

• Provide information about INNOVINT
• Provide ongoing news about INNOVINT events and activities
• Allow the partner organisations to share electronic documents such as slideshow presentations and spreadsheets and organise this information appropriately
• Facilitate discussions between the partner organisations

Solution

Heraghty Internet Consultants carried out the following services for the INNOVINT partnership:

• Developed a search-engine friendly website, with information the project generally, each of the INNOVINT partners, and the EU’s Interreg programme (which provides funding)
• Designed a Flash interactive map of Europe and integrated it on the homepage
• Integrated a Content Management System that allowed INNOVINT staff to update the news section of the website
• Integrated a forum to the website, to facilitate discussions among partner organisations
• Created a private section on the website, with file upload/download facilities, to allow INNVOINT members to share project documents
• Designed and distributed a bi-annual, rich text e-newsletter
• Provided visitor statistics and compiled regular reports for the partners on the website’s performance

Results

The INNOVINT partners have expressed great satisfaction with the website.

The site is found easily in Google for all of the terms relating to the project, e.g. Innovint; EU Interreg; etc.

Each of the partner organisations has successfully used the facility to share electronic documents on the private section of the website.

We created and delivered each of the newletters on time and with the content and format specified, and all were well received.

The INNOVINT partners were able to use the content management system, and kept the website content updated with news and event information.
